This essay will introduce the conceptual framework of ‘Six Capitals’ proposed by the International Integrated Reporting Councils (IIRC), and explore how it is translated in different companies. The Framework’s strengths and limitations will also be discussed, with recommendations provided to further enhance its applicability.

The IIRC was formerly known as the International Integrated Reporting Committee, being renamed in 2011. It was established by the IIRC to guide the development of their reporting framework on Integrated Reporting , which was also released in 2013.
